"You turn your back on them and they'll destroy you!"
"No one would miss me."
"That's not true, I would."
Roxas stopped in his tracks. He couldn't hold his tears anymore, they came. He turned and hugged the redhead. "I'm so sorry," he sobbed into Axel's chest. Axel instinctively wrapped his arms around the small blonde. Tears streaming down his face. "I am too."
Roxas looked up at Axel, his best friend. Axel supported his every decision, but right now it was so hard to leave. He had to tell Axel what he felt, it was now or never. "Axel, I-" but he was cut off when the redhead's lips pressed against his own. Roxas would have gasped, but he couldn't, you know, considering Axel's tongue was filling his mouth right now. Neither of them wanted the kiss to end, but even if they were nobodies, they still needed air. They both broke away panting. The redhead stroked the hair away from the blonde's face. "Roxas, it's okay, I know why you're going, I just wish that I could go with you." Then he buried his face in the blonde's hair. "I love you too. I always will. Here, I want you to have this." He grabbed an emerald necklace from around his neck. "So we can always come back to eachother."
Roxas took the necklace and put it on. He would never take it off, even if they made him forget, he would never take it off, not until he could see Axel again.
"I'll miss you so much," he said as he turned and walked away, still crying.

Roxas woke up in Twilight Town. It was a normal morning, it was 7:30, Hayner was throwing rocks at his window. He looked down at the cobbled streets to find his friend staring back up at him. "What do you want?"
"I dunno, Ollette wanted us to meet at the usual spot."
"Tell Ollette I can't, I'm not feeling too good."
"Fine, I know you're just being lazy though."
Roxas rolled his eyes and went back to bed.

He woke up about eleven, when his alarm usually went off on weekends. "Argh, I don't wanna get up." But he did anyways. He walked over to his bathroom to get dressed. After a few minutes, someone was knocking on his door. He went to answer it. "Hey Hayner. How on earth did I know it'd be you?"
"I dunno, you're not that intelligent, so it can't be cuz you're smart."
"Oh thanks." Roxas laughed then went to finish getting dressed.
Roxas looked in the mirror. He gripped the emerald necklace hanging loosely around his neck. He didn't know why, but tears started to float to his eyes.
"Why do you always wear that necklace?" Roxas jumped when Hayner walked in.
"To be honest, I don't know. All I know is that I made a promise to someone, and that I would never take this off until I kept my promise, their voice and face used to always be there. Now it's just... gone."
"Oh, that sounds pretty sad."
"Yeah, it was, especially because I can't remember anything about it..."
"Well, whoever she was," he patted Roxas on the shoulder, "you'll find her."
'Was it a she, though?' he thought.

Roxas was walking home from the usual spot, when he saw a man in a black cloak sitting on a bench at the side of the road. He cast a brief glance, but he kept walking. He didn't exactly like the fact that his heart started to beat faster. 'Heart? do I even have a heart?'
Roxas went to bed with a headache. He had taken some tylenol, but that hadn't helped. So he just tried to sleep. Around 3:00 am, he finally drifted into a peaceful sleep.

His dreams were weird that night. They were haunted by a man with fiery red hair. He was with Roxas. They were laughing hysterically

:: Dream ::
"Oh my god!! That was hilarious Roxy!! Demyx totally did NOT see that coming!!" The redhead shouted.
"I couln't have done it without your help Axel, you were the one who actually did the work!!" Roxas laughed at the older boy."
"Whatever, it was still your idea, I wouldn't have been able to help if hairspray wasn't flammable."
The two boys burst out in a laughing fit and fell over, while a very angry black crispy-haired (once soft-blond) man stomped down the hallway, head still sizzling.
:: End dream ::

Roxas woke up to a crash of thunder. He gripped the emerald on the necklace that was around his neck. "Axel..." he whispered, once again feeling his eyes swell with tears.
"Now I realize why he gave this to me.." he sighed, "the emerald is as green and almost as beautiful as his eyes..." he squinted, letting the tears fall this time. "I love you Axel..."

Once the storm had stopped, Roxas decided to go for a walk. He held on to the emerald the whole way. He walked to Sunset hill, and then he decided to sit and watch the view for a while. But, with the clouds blocking the way, there wasn't much to watch. So instead, he thought, about Axel, and why he had left in the first place. All he knew though was that he wanted to go back. Letting the tears fall again, he whispered "Axel.."
"Yeah?"
Roxas jumped and turned around. At first he just stared in shock, it was the man in the black cloak, with a hood over his face. It couldn't be true... could it?
"Axel?"
"Roxas.." he said with a soft smile on his lips.
"How do I know this is really happening? How do I know that it's you?"
"Well for starters I should probably take off my hood." and he did.
"Axel!" Roxas continued to cry, only this time they were happy tears. He ran to the redhead who spread his arms wide. "I love you so so much," he sobbed in to the older boy's chest.
"You have no idea how much I've missed you."
"I think I might have an idea. I'm sorry."
"For what?”
“I forgot about you. But I also didn’t, at the same time. I couldn’t remember who you were, but I remembered our promise to always come back to eachother. I didn’t even remember what you looked like until last night.”
Axel was crying also. “That doesn’t matter anymore, Roxy. All that matters is that I have you, and nobody can ever take you away again.”
“But we’re nobodies,” Roxas sobbed “people will do anything to get rid of us.”
“You’re always somebody to me. You make me feel, like I have a heart.”
